It is a fact that women do well at the poker tables. They have all done very well in the World Series of Poker or European Poker Tour. Both Barbara Entright and Jennifer Harman are winners of the much desired WSOP bracelet. No to mention the shooting star, Anette Obrestrand, the 19 year old Norwegian who made her debut at the international poker tables last year, by taking home notorious prizes. But even on a less grand scale women are doing really well. A 2005 poll showed that 40 % of online poker players were women. The fact that poker moved out of the backroom and into the virtual space where its accessibility is much more comfortable, has boosted the popularity among women. Poker has become house trained and now it seem as there is no stopping the women from conquering this exciting card game.
